Block Drop

PuzzleClassic

Rotate and stack the falling blocks to clear lines.

Arrow keys to move/rotate, Space to hard drop

How to play

  1. Move the falling block left or right with the ← → keys (or the on-screen buttons), and rotate it with ↑ to fit it into the gaps.
  2. Fill a horizontal row completely with no holes and it clears for points. Clearing several rows in one drop is worth far more.
  3. Press ↓ for a soft drop that speeds the block down (+1 per cell), and Space for a hard drop that slams it to the bottom (+2 per cell).
  4. Every 10 lines you clear raises the level and the blocks fall faster. Check the 'Next' preview panel to plan around the upcoming two pieces.
  5. The game ends when the stack reaches the top and there's no room for a new block. Keeping the floor flat is the key to surviving longer.

Tips

  • Clearing four rows at once (800 points × level) gives the biggest bonus. Leave one column open at an edge and wait for a long I-piece to drop in.
  • Clearing rows on back-to-back drops builds a combo that adds bonus points each time, so set up your next clear before you trigger the current one.
  • Use the translucent ghost piece that shows where the block will land, plus the brief lock delay (about 0.5s), to nudge the piece left or right before it sets.
  • As the level climbs the drop speed rises, so spread awkward shapes out instead of digging deep wells, and never seal a gap you still need to fill.
